In a few steps, we put you on the road to a circular production process:
1. An exploratory talk
Do you have a circular idea, question or challenge? Ecoo thinks along with you. In an exploratory meeting, we look together at whether your new product or existing application can be made from recycled material.
2. Feasibility check
In a feasibility check, the demand is weighed up according to the number of expected print runs, the cost, the deadline and the technical requirements. Once the expectations are right, we move on to the next step.
3. Research
In this phase, we look for the answers to some crucial questions:
Technical requirements
The right raw material is selected on the basis of a few technical questions.
- What requirements must the end product meet?
- Does it have to be particularly strong?
- Is it a thick-walled or thin-walled product?
Product design and production technique
Taking into account the properties of recycled material, adjustments are sometimes needed in the product.
A product designer helps to optimise the existing design to meet all technical requirements.
The production technique is also important. Depending on the number of print runs and the chosen raw material, we look at which production technique best suits the demand: injection, intrusion, extrusion or 3D printing.
4. Prototyping & testing
Based on the choices made, Ecoo advises on the creation of a first prototype. In it, we do tests on a small scale before developing the final product.
5. Development
When there is no more room for improvement, the mould or product is ready for large-scale development. Depending on the needs, a project can be followed up to series production.
